Marina Heredia has begun 2026 in spectacular fashion following the resounding success of her concerts in Valladolid, held on Thursday and Friday to sold-out houses. Joined by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, the artist confirmed the outstanding creative moment she is experiencing, officially launching an intense national and international tour that will alternate her new project En Libertad. The Path of the Gypsies with her acclaimed interpretation of El Amor Brujo.

Two unforgettable nights in Valladolid

The theatre surrendered to Marina Heredia over two consecutive concerts that both posted the “sold out” sign. The connection between the singer and the symphonic ensemble was complete, in a musical dialogue that once again demonstrated flamenco’s ability to coexist with -and flourish within- the orchestral language. After the Valladolid triumph, the artist now looks ahead to her next international engagement with the music of Manuel de Falla in Philadelphia, where she will perform alongside the prestigious Orquesta de Filadelfia.

Moved by the audience’s response, Marina highlighted the intensity of a year she defines as “an explosive mix,” combining symphonic concerts with flamenco performances. El Amor Brujo, an essential work in her career, remains for her a constant challenge and a source of ongoing learning: a universal story that resonates with audiences all over the world.

A year filled with emotion

Following the Valladolid double bill, the En Libertad tour continues in Andalusia. On March 7, the singer will perform at the Atarfe Theatre (Granada), followed by the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank in Málaga on March 12. These dates are part of a calendar that spans both national and international venues, confirming the project’s global reach.

According to the artist herself, the key to the success of these concerts lies in the mutual understanding between Marina and the orchestras: sharing with the musicians the meaning of the lyrics and the legacy of the Roma people creates a bond that translates into genuine emotion on stage. “We all get emotional,” she admits.

Crossing the Atlantic

Marina Heredia’s international schedule will once again take her to the United States. From February 2 to 7, she will perform El Amor Brujo in Philadelphia under the direction of Rafael Payare at Marian Anderson Hall. Another opportunity to bring flamenco into major classical circuits and reinforce her role as an ambassador of Spanish music.

En Libertad, a project designed to endure

En Libertad. The Path of the Gypsies is not only an album -scheduled for release in the coming months- but a vital, timeless project. Conceived as a symphonic poem, it traces a musical journey through the Roma diaspora from India to contemporary flamenco. With musical direction by Joan Albert Amargós and lyrics by José Quevedo “Bolita,” the project has already unveiled its first single, the rumba “Juan el Egiptano,” along with a documentary that captures the creative process with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada.

In parallel, Marina Heredia continues to consolidate her status as one of the world’s leading interpreters of El Amor Brujo, bringing Manuel de Falla’s masterpiece to the foremost international stages and introducing flamenco rooted in tradition to new audiences.
